Our Mission

The Reptile Welfare Assessment Tool (RepWAT) testing laboratory represents a small group of researchers, educators, and genuine reptile lovers whose goal is to ensure that every captive reptile is living its best life.

We know that reptile keepers also want the best for their animals and do so by keeping records of feeding, body score, health and environmental conditions.

RepWAT provides you the added peace of mind by measuring the amount of reptile stress hormone, corticosterone, in the poo.

A low stress result validates your husbandry practices. A higher than desirable result will indicate that some changes are required to improve your reptiles well-being. We are here to support you at every stage of the process.

Our clients have found this service invaluable when reporting for compliance purposes to government authorities as well as improving their own knowledge and practices.
